Our recruiters
These days, folks can put out a shingle announcing themselves as being plastics recruiters while they perhaps are better categorized as internet aficionados who can perform fancy Boolean searches for people in the job market and who busily shuffle resumes from sources other than their own footwork. Dimensions recruiters are e-savvy (that's one way the world communicates) but that's not how to find the best candidates for a job.
Our recruiters are high-energy people, in both business and personal pursuits.
Dimensions recruiters have an applicant tracking system based on a carefully nurtured network of talented people within the industry's strongest companies. We go to industry events and know companies and their people, and keep in contact regularly. There is a reciprocal relationship between Dimensions recruiters and companies, and our contacts are happy to refer good candidates.
Dimensions recruiters are not resume pushers. Resumes do not get people hired; people get people hired. Our recruiters are very good qualifiers of candidates, and submit for consideration only those who are dead on for a role. When Dimensions submits a name, our customers know it's worthwhile to take a look.
Dimensions recruiters know that "commercial grade" and "engineering grade" resins are not the same thing, and would not present a thermoforming candidate for a blown film extrusion position. We understand industry terminology and functions, and would not compromise our credibility by recommending a nonqualifying person.
Some recruiters consider qualifying only as determining whether someone has the skill set listed for the job. Dimensions recruiters verify that a candidate's commute is acceptable (and realistic!), and can determine true motivations and the seriousness of a potential candidate. We are rarely surprised by a person who, when receiving an offer, says "$75,000? I need $90,000 because I have to drive so far."
Dimensions recruiters know that most failures to close an offer come from not qualifying a candidate upfront. Dimensions knows to pre-close a candidate at each step of the way. We do not end up in a situation in which a person says they will move only to find out that his high school junior will not, that her mother has lived next door for 17 years, or there's a spouse who is a vice-president of the local bank.
Dimensions recruits are expert negotiators. We really know how to uncover existing salary information, true desires, and what it takes for a particular person to close. A candidate earning $60,000 and asking for $65,000 might also take less because of feeling underappreciated by the current boss.
Dimensions recruiters do not pad fees by misrepresenting the salary on either side of the table. Nor do we steal candidates from clients. We always act honestly, and never misrepresent a company or a candidate. Dimensions promises to maintain our high ethical standards (
please see our Code of Ethics), and will not work for an organization that bends the ethics.
